Working on My First Painting

I started working on the painting today. I thought it would be best to put a down a base layer then add highlights and details afterwards. I started with the sky and I am working my way forward. The two trees and path still need painted and there is a lot of detail work to do. I plan to add some clouds to the sky. The trees and mountains will have fall leaves. I also want to detail the grass with some light green and yellow paint. Lastly, I will be adding shadows to the shack and trees to add realism to the painting. Keep checking back for updates.
